A Form for Common Prayer St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church

[To be prayed daily at 8 am, 12 noon and/or 8 pm]

Begin with silence. Then pray as follows:

Gracious God, Holy One of Blessing, you are mindful of the needs  of  your  faith-  ful people, what we hold dearly in our hearts and what we yearn for:

As the community of St. Stephen’s Church, we offer you our intercessions for our dear Christen, and for Peter; attend them and uphold them in the complexities and challenges that surround them; sustain them in this waiting time; and abide with those who attend them and who wait alongside.

In your great mercy, help us all to move toward your promised future, confident that you will provide the sustenance we need and the hope we seek. We give you Christen and Peter, care for them and see them with grace into the days to come.

Bless them, Good Lord, and us, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. After a brief silence, pray the following collect:

Almighty God, we entrust all who are dear to us to your never-failing care and love, for this life and the life to come, knowing that you are doing for them bet-  ter things than we can desire or pray for; through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen. [For those we Love. BCP 831]

After another brief silence, conclude with this acclamation,

Let us bless the Lord. Thanks be to God.

Go in peace.
